| hmm....looks like its about time for another pointless entry. You know, I'm getting real tired of not having a boyfriend or at least dating someone. This has been the longest time I've ever gone without a boyfriend since 8th grade. Maybe I'm too picky........nah. I don't want someone to spend a lot of time with, especially w/my busy schedule and doing things w/my friends. It'd just be nice to have a nice, low maintainance boyfriend that liked to hang out w/my friends too. Is that too much to ask? Maybe it is at a commuter school where most everyone is already hooked up. Well who knows? Maybe tomorrow I might go up a cute guy and start talking to him. Yeah......and maybe not. Well that is the end of my venting, better study for bio. | | |
| Oh, and one more thing, if you are a scary guy that walks around friday nights, gets high and asks me if I need a man--stay away from me when I go to my friend's house!! | | |
| Hey everybody!!! OK, well not a lot of people read my page.....but that's probably b/c I never write on it. It's FRIDAY!!! I'm working now , but I get off soon and then I can have another weekend of carnal fun and general mayhem. (OK maybe not) School really sucks, physics, organic chem, and bio 210 are a lot to care about. The thing is, I really don't care about them. Why am I studying to be a doctor? I've never really wanted to be a doctor, but that's the route I'm taking b/c I can't think of anything better. I think I'm one of those millions who will probably live for the weekend. Oh, well. Maybe one day, I'll join a band and tour the world. I think I'd enjoy that, but my chances of that are about one in 50 thousand million or something. Besides, I don't think I'd have very good stage presense anyway. Blah blah blah. If you are still reading this, you must be a very bored or persistant person.
So I'm going to one of my friend's apartment tonight to watch movies or shows or something. It's always fun--especially when we watch "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." That show is great. The best parts are when Carson (who really does look like Ellen Degeneres) hits on the guys. That can get pretty funny.
You know what, the 80's were great. I was little and played with My Little Ponies all day and watched 80's cartoons. It was also the time where you could walk around w/totally messed up teased hair and acid washed jeans and still be pretty hot. You gotta love that. Although all fashion faux pas must come to an end.
You know, this entry is quite long and skips around so I'm just gonna end it right now.
| At 10:30AM June 5th, 2003, it was officially St. Anger's Day. I had bought Metallica's latest. It was so awesome; everyone in Best Buy was there just to buy it. I about had a heart attack when I found out it was going to be released 5 day early!!! (Nevermind the fact that it was probably done to make more $)
Well, anyway, the album, of course, exceeded my expectations. It is a full 75 minutes of nonstop ass kicking. Even if you do not like Metallica, you have to give them credit in being the only real hard rock band left. They ARE metal. Marilyn Manson did actually say something quite profound when he said rock is dead. (or he said something like that--I don't exactly follow him.) When Metallica's gone, rock is gone. Now I like a lot of new rock, but it just doesn't pound your head and make you wanna wave your fist in the air and headbang like Metallica does. They don't talk about how much they miss their girl; they have more important issues to deal with--like religious hypocrisy and war.
The only thing I feel was lacking was Kirk's solos. He is the guitarist I want to model myself after. His heart and mind bogglingly fast fingers create some pretty potent riffs. Other than that, St. Anger is my new official favorite album (except Load-which is my all time fav.)
| Whew! Guess what I did twice this week. Whoa you guessed it--I ran two races A 5K and then a 10K. They both just about killed me. On the 5K website it said "mostly flat with a few hills thrown in for good measure." Well, the course was about as flat as my ass!--(not very) Normally, I like hills--they remind me of HS XC. But, unlike HS, I haven't been training on hills.
The 10K was just long--and sunny. It was also the first time I'd ever run over 5 miles. That last 1.2 miles was never ending. By that time, I could feel my skin and eyeballs frying. I am now taking sunscreen and sunglasses to every race I go to even if it seems like it's going to stay cloudy.
